Virtual reality glasses aim to ease phantom pain after amputation

NCT ID NCT06638918

Summary

This small study tested whether a virtual reality (VR) program is practical and acceptable for treating phantom limb pain right after someone has a leg amputated. Twenty participants tried the VR program daily for about 17 sessions in the hospital and at home, reporting on their pain and experience. The main goal was to see if people would use the program and if it showed early signs of helping with pain, not to prove it works definitively.
