Virtual reality tested as new hope for phantom pain

NCT ID NCT06638918

Summary

This study tested whether a new virtual reality (VR) program is a practical and acceptable way to help people manage phantom limb pain right after a leg amputation. Researchers worked with 20 participants who tried the VR program daily for about 17 sessions in different locations. The main goal was to see if people could and would use the program, and to get early hints about whether using it more often might lead to less severe pain.
