Virtual reality goggles aim to calm fears before heart tests
NCT ID NCT07320248
Summary
This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) to show patients what to expect can reduce anxiety before a heart catheterization procedure. About 120 adults in Oman having this procedure for the first time will either use a VR simulation or get standard education beforehand. Researchers will measure anxiety levels and patient satisfaction to see if VR helps people feel more prepared and less worried.
