First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles can help control the gag reflex and reduce anxiety in adults during dental X-rays. 30 patients each had two X-rays: one with standard care and one while using VR distraction. Researchers measured gagging severity, anxiety levels, and patient satisfaction to see if VR made the experience more comfortable.
