VR headsets help kids with disabilities face the dentist

NCT ID NCT07249359

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets could help children with mild intellectual disability feel less anxious during dental procedures. Researchers compared VR to watching a regular screen in 56 children aged 11-15 who had moderate dental anxiety. The goal was to see if VR made it easier for these children to complete their dental treatment successfully.
