Virtual reality calms Kids' dental fears

NCT ID NCT07249359

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets could help children with mild intellectual disabilities feel less anxious during dental visits. Researchers compared VR to watching a regular screen in 56 children aged 11-15 who needed a filling. They measured whether the children could complete their dental treatment successfully and have a positive experience.
