New drug trial aims to tame rett syndrome symptoms

NCT ID NCT07150013

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a drug called vorinostat to see if it is safe and might help control symptoms of Rett syndrome. Up to 15 girls and young women with Rett syndrome will take the drug at different doses, with each person also getting a placebo for comparison. The main goals are to check for side effects and look for early signs that the drug could improve symptoms like movement, behavior, and seizures.
