New test could spare heartburn sufferers from uncomfortable procedures

NCT ID NCT07437768

Summary

This study is testing if a medication called Vonoprazan can help doctors figure out why some people still have bad heartburn and acid reflux even after taking standard treatments. Researchers will give Vonoprazan to 100 adults whose symptoms haven't improved with usual pills, to see if their symptoms get better. The goal is to see if this drug trial can work as a simpler diagnostic tool, potentially avoiding more invasive tests for some patients.
