First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a new drug called VMX-C001 in 800 adults who take a common blood thinner (FXa DOAC) and need urgent surgery with high bleeding risk. Participants get either VMX-C001 or standard care before the procedure. Researchers check how well bleeding is controlled during surgery and follow participants for about 28 days. The goal is to see if VMX-C001 works better than usual treatments.
