First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests if a small mesh tube (stent) can safely treat pulsatile tinnitus—a rhythmic whooshing sound in the ear caused by a narrowed vein in the brain. About 15 adults with severe symptoms will get the stent and be monitored for a year. The goal is to see if the stent reduces the noise and improves quality of life.
