Can vitamins boost gum bone healing? new study explores

NCT ID NCT05499598

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether adding vitamins A and C to a standard gum surgery (using platelet-rich fibrin) improves healing of deep bone defects around teeth. Twenty-eight adults with advanced gum disease took part. The goal was to see if the vitamin mix leads to better bone fill and gum health than surgery alone.
