Can a daily vitamin pill harden your arteries less?
NCT ID NCT05259046
Summary
This study is testing whether taking a vitamin K supplement daily for three years can slow the buildup of calcium in heart arteries, a condition linked to heart disease. It involves 450 adults from Denmark who already have some early artery calcification. Participants will take either the vitamin or a placebo pill, and researchers will use heart scans to see if the vitamin makes a difference.
