This study looked at whether certain gene variations (vitamin D receptor polymorphisms) are linked to a higher risk of non-melanoma skin cancer. Researchers compared 200 people aged 50 and older, some with and some without skin cancer, to find any connections. The goal was to better understand genetic risk factors, not to test a new treatment.
