This study looks at whether giving a single high dose of vitamin D to patients with low levels before hip or knee replacement surgery can lower the chance of problems like infection. About 200 adults with osteoarthritis and low vitamin D will take part. Researchers will track infections, hospital stay length, and readmissions.
