Summary
This study is testing whether giving vitamin D supplements to cancer patients who have low vitamin D levels can help improve their survival and delay the need for other treatments. It focuses on people newly diagnosed with certain aggressive lymphomas or a slow-growing type of leukemia. Patients with low vitamin D receive weekly and then monthly vitamin D pills for up to three years, while their outcomes are compared to patients who already have sufficient vitamin D.
