Summary
This study tested whether giving high-dose vitamin D supplements could reduce serious health problems in people who received kidney transplants. Researchers compared two different vitamin D doses in 538 transplant recipients over two years, looking at whether the higher dose lowered risks of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, or death. All participants continued their standard transplant medications throughout the study.
