Can a vitamin pill speed up healing after foot surgery?
NCT ID NCT04772196
Summary
This study aims to find out if taking vitamin D supplements helps people recover better from ankle or big toe joint fusion surgery. Researchers will compare patients who receive vitamin D with those who get standard care, tracking complications like infections or poor wound healing for six months after the operation. The goal is to gather better evidence on whether this common supplement can improve surgical outcomes.
