Can a vitamin pill speed up healing after foot surgery?
NCT ID NCT04772196
Summary
This study is looking at whether taking vitamin D supplements helps people heal better after ankle or big toe joint fusion surgery. Researchers will compare recovery in 90 patients who receive vitamin D with those who get standard care. They want to see if vitamin D reduces complications like infections, poor wound healing, or bones not fusing properly.
