Vitamin c may stop catheter infections in Women's surgery

Summary

This study tests whether taking vitamin C can prevent urinary tract infections caused by catheters in women having gynecologic surgery. About 180 women will receive either vitamin C or a placebo before and after surgery. The goal is to see if vitamin C reduces the number of infections.
