Vitamin c may ease pain after mastectomy, study finds

Summary

This study looked at whether giving vitamin C around the time of breast cancer surgery could lower pain right after surgery and months later. 204 women having a mastectomy or lumpectomy took part. Researchers measured pain levels in the days after surgery and again at 3 and 6 months to see if vitamin C made a difference.
