First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking vitamin C can prevent Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a painful condition that sometimes develops after a wrist fracture. Researchers gave vitamin C to some of the 220 adults with specific types of wrist fractures and compared them to those who did not receive it. The goal was to see if vitamin C could reduce the number of people who develop CRPS.
