Can a simple vitamin tame dangerous blood pressure spikes during exercise?
NCT ID NCT06369350
Summary
This early-stage study is investigating whether vitamin B6 can help reduce the sharp increase in blood pressure that happens during exercise in people with poor leg circulation (Peripheral Artery Disease). Researchers will give vitamin B6 to 30 healthy volunteers to see if it blocks a specific protein in nerves that may be responsible for this exaggerated blood pressure response. The goal is to gather basic knowledge that could lead to future, non-invasive treatments to improve health for PAD patients.
