NCT ID NCT07577180
First seen May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether giving high-dose vitamin A supplements once a week to very low birth weight preterm babies could lower their risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), a serious lung condition. The trial included 209 infants born at 32 weeks or earlier and weighing less than 1250 grams. Researchers compared those who received the vitamin to those who got standard care, tracking lung health and survival.
