First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a simple visualized meditation technique can reduce anxiety, pain, and discomfort in patients having an endoscopy for the first time. About 72 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either meditation or standard care during the procedure. The goal is to see if this low-cost, non-drug approach can make the experience more comfortable.
