New eye training could help millions see without their blind spots

Summary
This study tests whether 5 weeks of eye-tracking exercises with sound and visual cues can help people with central vision loss use their peripheral vision more effectively. About 12 participants with macular degeneration will do tasks that train eye movements while getting real-time feedback. The goal is to see if this approach improves reading and navigation, and could eventually be done at home using virtual reality.
