New imaging technique could improve lymph node detection in vulvar cancer

NCT ID NCT06127836

First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares a newer imaging method using indocyanine green (ICG) with the standard method (lymphoscintigraphy) to find sentinel lymph nodes in people with early-stage vulvar cancer. About 22 participants will receive both imaging techniques during their scheduled surgery. The goal is to see if the ICG method works as well or better at identifying the key lymph nodes.
