First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether showing patients a virtual tour of the surgical environment before their orthopedic surgery could lower their anxiety and boost satisfaction. 70 adults who had never had surgery before participated. Researchers measured anxiety and satisfaction levels before and after the virtual tour. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug approach helps patients feel more at ease.
