Virtual supermarket and driving simulator used to spot hidden MS brain fog
NCT ID NCT01805336
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) tasks, like navigating a virtual supermarket or using a driving simulator, are better than standard paper-and-pencil tests at detecting the thinking and planning problems that often occur with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers compared 60 people with relapsing-remitting MS to healthy volunteers using both VR and traditional tests. The goal was to find more realistic tools to measure how MS affects daily life, which could help guide future rehabilitation programs.
