Virtual supermarket and driving simulator used to spot hidden MS brain fog
NCT ID NCT01805336
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality (VR) tasks, like navigating a virtual supermarket or using a driving simulator, are better than standard paper-and-pencil tests at detecting attention and thinking problems in people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers compared the performance of 60 people with MS to healthy volunteers on both VR and traditional tests. The goal was to see if VR provides a more realistic picture of the daily challenges caused by MS-related cognitive issues.
