Virtual reality boosts arm recovery in chronic stroke patients

Summary
This study tested whether a non-immersive virtual reality system (MindMotion™ GO) could improve arm function in people who had a stroke more than 6 months ago. 26 adults with chronic stroke were randomly assigned to either virtual reality training or standard occupational therapy for 8 weeks. The results showed that virtual reality may help improve arm movement and quality of life, offering a fun and accessible rehabilitation option.
