This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) can help people with hoarding disorder feel less upset about throwing things away. 80 adults from the general population took part. Researchers measured anxiety and emotions before and after a VR session where participants practiced discarding personal items. The goal was to see if VR could make discarding easier and less distressing.
