Could virtual reality help patients recover faster from cell therapy?
NCT ID NCT07679958
First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Sep 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether using an immersive virtual reality headset during exercise can improve motivation, adherence, and emotional well-being in adults undergoing cell therapy or stem cell transplant. Participants follow a therapeutic exercise program with or without VR. The trial measures physical function, muscle strength, and how many exercise sessions patients complete.

- If it works, this could make exercise more engaging and improve physical recovery and emotional well-being for patients during cell therapy.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study focused on feasibility and motivation, not on curing the disease. The benefits may not be large or lasting.
