First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether online peer support helps family caregivers of people with neuromuscular disease feel more capable and less alone. About 100 Canadian caregivers were randomly assigned to receive virtual peer support or not. The goal was to see if talking with someone who understands their situation improves their sense of mastery and reduces stress.
