Scientists map moving joints in 3D to spot problems

NCT ID NCT00051857

Summary

This study aims to develop better tools for diagnosing movement problems by creating detailed 3D images of bones, muscles, and tendons while they are in motion. Researchers will use MRI and ultrasound scans on up to 750 volunteers, including both healthy people and those with joint impairments, to see how these body parts work together. The goal is to build a clearer picture of normal and impaired joint function to help doctors diagnose and treat movement disorders more effectively in the future.
