NCT ID NCT07152054

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study will test whether watching a virtual forest scene can help reduce pain, anxiety, fear, and improve sleep in 70 adults undergoing bariatric (weight-loss) surgery. Half of the participants will experience the virtual forest before and after surgery, while the other half will receive standard care. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free approach can make the surgical experience less stressful.
