Summary
This study will test whether virtual doula support improves birth experiences and outcomes for first-time mothers in rural U.S. communities. Researchers will randomly assign 614 pregnant women to receive either virtual doula visits throughout pregnancy and after birth, or usual care without a doula. The study aims to see if the virtual support leads to fewer C-sections, higher birth satisfaction, and better mental health and breastfeeding outcomes.
