Supercharged donor cells take on Post-Transplant viruses

NCT ID NCT02048332

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether specially grown immune cells from a stem cell donor can safely treat viral infections that often occur after transplant. These infections can be serious and hard to treat with standard medicines. The approach aims to boost the patient's weakened immune system with cells that directly target viruses like CMV, EBV, and adenovirus.
