New study tests if video scopes make baby intubation safer
NCT ID NCT06757543
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether using a video laryngoscope (a tool with a camera) helps doctors insert a breathing tube into newborns more safely than the standard direct laryngoscope. About 840 babies across multiple hospitals will take part. The goal is to see if video scopes lead to more successful first attempts without drops in oxygen or heart rate.
