Massive study seeks genetic clues to rare kidney cancers

NCT ID NCT00001238

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study aims to learn more about kidney and urinary tract cancers that run in families. Researchers will follow up to 5,000 people with or at risk for these inherited conditions, collecting blood, tissue, and urine samples over time. The goal is to identify new genes linked to these cancers and understand how the diseases develop, not to test a new treatment.
