First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a single dose of VERVE-102, a gene-editing therapy, in 85 adults with inherited high cholesterol (HeFH) or early heart disease who still need lower LDL cholesterol. The treatment targets a liver gene (PCSK9) to reduce 'bad' cholesterol levels. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also measure how well it lowers cholesterol.
