Gene editing shot aims to slash 'Bad' cholesterol for good

Summary
This early-stage study tests a single-dose gene editing treatment called VERVE-102 in people with a genetic form of high cholesterol or early heart disease. The goal is to see if it is safe and can lower 'bad' LDL cholesterol by turning off a specific gene in the liver. About 85 participants will receive one dose and be monitored for side effects and cholesterol changes.
