Summary
This study tested whether switching patients between a breathing tube and a face mask could help them get off ventilator machines faster. It involved 83 adults who had been on ventilators for at least two weeks and were having trouble breathing on their own. Researchers compared this switching method to standard weaning approaches to see which worked better.
