Summary

This study compares two antidepressants, venlafaxine and dosulepin, to see which one better reduces pain and other physical symptoms in people with somatic symptom disorder. Researchers will enroll 84 adults who have not recently taken medication for this condition. The trial also looks at changes in stress hormones and inflammation markers to understand how these drugs work.
