Head-to-Head: which drug eases unexplained pain better?

Summary

This study compares two antidepressants, venlafaxine and dosulepin, to see which better reduces pain and improves daily life in people with somatic symptom disorder (SSD). SSD involves persistent physical complaints, often pain, linked to stress and brain chemistry. The trial will enroll 84 adults aged 18-65 who have not taken related medications recently, measuring symptom changes and stress-related biomarkers over 8 weeks.
