Summary
This study looked at how well the drug venetoclax works for adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not healthy enough for strong chemotherapy. About 120 people in Switzerland and Austria took venetoclax pills daily as part of their normal care. Researchers tracked how long they lived and whether their cancer went into remission over 24 months. The goal was to see if the drug's benefits seen in clinical trials hold up in everyday medical practice.
