First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a simple surgery where a piece of the patient's own vein is wrapped around a repaired nerve in the arm or hand. The goal is to reduce scar tissue and painful nerve growths (neuromas) that often cause long-term pain and disability. About 43 adults with recent nerve injuries below the elbow will take part. The main outcome is whether fewer neuromas form, measured by ultrasound.
