New drug trial targets blood pressure and weight together

Summary
This study aims to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug called VCT220 for treating high blood pressure in adults who are also overweight or have obesity. About 160 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either VCT220 or a placebo for 20 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in blood pressure and body weight to see if the drug helps control both conditions.
