Cervical injection may improve removal of retained pregnancy tissue

NCT ID NCT07102615

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting vasopressin into the cervix before a hysteroscopic procedure helps doctors remove leftover pregnancy tissue more completely. About 50 women aged 18–51 who need surgery for retained tissue after miscarriage, abortion, or delivery will take part. Half will get vasopressin and half a placebo, and the main goal is to see if the procedure can be finished without switching to another method.
