New wash may beat saline for infected leg sores

Summary
This study compares a special cleansing solution called Vashe to standard saline for treating leg ulcers that show signs of infection. About 102 adults with venous or mixed leg ulcers will receive one of the two solutions along with compression therapy. The goal is to see if Vashe reduces infection signs more effectively and is safe to use.
