New drug trial aims to break nicotine vaping addiction

NCT ID NCT07392125

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called cytisinicline can help adults quit using nicotine e-cigarettes. Approximately 800 daily vapers will receive either the medication or a placebo pill for 12 weeks, along with behavioral support. The main goal is to see if those taking the real medication are more likely to successfully stop vaping during the final month of treatment.
